How to apply
Admission Deadlines:
October 1, for Spring admissions.
March 1, for Summer admissions.
May 1, for Fall admissions.
The University of Houston and the Department of Health and Human Performances require that all applicants submit the following items:

Completed Apply Texas Application, used for undergraduate, international and graduate admission. The Apply Texas Application can be found online at www.applytexas.org.

Three letters of reference and personal resumes.

Official GRE scores. Scores must be received directly from ETS or on an official transcript from an accredited institution previously attended. Note: GRE scores more than 5 years old are not valid. Applicants may have to retake the examination.

TWO official transcripts which reflect at least the last sixty semester credit hours of course work or the equivalent. An undergraduate GPA of 3.0. is expected for admittance into the M.Ed. in Physical Education program. Evidence of award of degree, if applicable, must be reflected on the transcript(s).
Please note: The Office of Admissions will accept recently issued official transcripts received directly from the institution(s) attended or if your former institution's policy allows, transcripts delivered in the issuing institution's UNOPENED envelope. Transcripts in opened envelopes are NOT official and will not be used for admission purposes.
Former UH Applicants who have previously attended the University of Houston should resubmit required transcripts from former institutions.
